Foster a Child
Foster care is a way of providing a family life for children who cannot live with their own parents or caretakers. Catawba County has a need for foster families willing to open their hearts to children in need and share their family life with them.
Foster care is often used to provide temporary care while parents get help sorting out problems, or to help children or young people through a difficult period in their lives. Families are needed to provide children with safe and loving home environments while a long-term, permanent plan is achieved for the child.
If you are interested in fostering and want to learn more, please attend one of our monthly information meetings.Completing this short, online orientation and printing and/or emailing a completion certificate is required prior to the first interview for an interested family.
