Friends of the Library
We really value our Friends. The Friends would love to have you join. The Friends of the Catawba County Library volunteer together to support and share our enthusiasm for the library. They sponsor library programming and vibrant summer reading programs.
They act as ambassadors for literacy and the library, participate in programming and events, and raise funds through membership drives, book sales, and other special projects. They provide community outreach and promote the library every chance they get.
Membership in the Friends gives you the opportunity to volunteer and work with other dedicated advocates who share your enthusiasm for the library and all that it has to offer.
To join, call the Catawba County Library System Friends at 828.465.8292.
The 2022 Annual Book Sale has been scheduled for April 7-9, 2022. More details to come.
You are invited to purchase bargain books at the ongoing book sales that the Friends host year-round at the Main Library in Newton and at the Conover, St. Stephens, and Southwest Branch Libraries.
In addition, the Friends are happy to accept donations to fund programs for the library system. Request a donation form from the library if you'd like to support literacy and lifelong learning in Catawba County or download one here.
