1000 Books Before Kindergarten is an early literacy initiative to expose children to a greater variety of reading material and establish reading together as an important practice in the home.
The concept is simple; the rewards are priceless. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yes you can repeat books) before your precious one starts kindergarten. When your child reaches a milestone, they can visit the library for a small reward.
Get started now by registering for 1000 Books Before Kindergarten online or visit your local library.
