Unregistered Vehicle

Unregistered vehicles or vehicles without a current tag as of January 1 should be listed. This includes cars, trucks, motorcycles, campers, motor homes and trailers of all types. Please call the tax office at 828-465-8402 if you have a question regarding what property should be listed.

Personal Property Listing Form

IMPORTANT: Any vehicles, campers, or trailers with current North Carolina annual license tags are not to be listed on the personal property listing form. You will receive a tag & tax notice listing both vehicle registration fees and taxes due. Just as in the past, vehicle owners will receive the notice about 60 days prior to their vehicle’s registration expiration.
