Catawba County Friends of the Library Meeting
Published: May 06, 2021
The Catawba County Friends of the Library will be holding their monthly meeting this week, and all community members are invited to attend! While a committed group of volunteers regularly support the mission of the library with their ongoing efforts, they always welcome new participants with fresh ideas and an abiding interest in promoting education and engagement.
Annually, the Friends sponsor Summer Learning’s headline performers and support other costs associated with the family-friendly program. They also create holiday gift baskets and host book sales at the Main Library in Newton and at the Conover, St. Stephens, and Southwest branches. Plus, they coordinate the sales of ear buds, tote bags, flash drives, and coffee to enhance the library experience of patrons and visitors.
If you would like to attend the upcoming meeting or learn more about the Catawba County Friends, call 828.465.8665 to receive the Zoom login for the gathering on Monday, May 10 at 11 am.
Also providing active support for the Catawba County Library are the Claremont Friends of the Library and the Friends of the Sherrills Ford-Terrell Library. To become involved with them, contact Claremont at 828.466.6817 or visit the SFTFOL at https://friendsofthesherrillsfordterrelllibrary.org/.
