Top Baby Names in Catawba County for 2025

Angela Henson, Catawba County Register of Deeds, announces the most popular baby names in 2025 for Catawba County births. Oliver captured the top spot for baby boys born in 2025 while Sophia did so for the most popular girl name.
“My staff and I were excited to see the most popular names of babies born in our county. We love to see all the precious children come in the office with their parents to attain their first birth certificate,” states Henson.
Henson also releases other vital records statistics for the calendar year 2025. 1,187 marriage licenses were issued by her office. There were 2,375 deaths and 2,494 births for 2025 in Catawba County. Henson states “Overall, these numbers are trending up, in part due to the growth of our county. As families continue to move into our great county, these statistics will likely continue to increase.”
