Calling all Jan Karon fans! Want a behind-the-scenes peek into the comforting town of Mitford? Join a docent from the Mitford Museum while she shares the real-life history, childhood stories, and inspiration behind the books. There will be a drawing for FREE books as well as light refreshments. 

Mystery Mavens

All are welcome to join as we discuss The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles. We will also do a book-share at the end with other recommended reads. This book club meets every other month.    

Quilling Project Day
Wednesday, October 14 at 6 pm 
Main Library in Newton 

Drop in to work on a holiday-themed quilling project for which we’ll be making tight coils, loose coils, teardrops and scrolls. By November (or sooner) we’ll assemble our quilled shapes into a Christmas tree or an ornament to create a hand-crafted holiday card so beautiful you’ll definitely want to deliver it in person.

Need a little help with your phone, tablet, or computer? Drop in for an hour dedicated to friendly tech assistance. Bring your questions and your device, and we’ll work through it together. Whether you’re learning the basics, trying to navigate an app, or simply stuck on something, no question is too simple! 

Scams Targeting Seniors

Join Amy Morton and Will Daughtrey from Peoples Bank as they discuss scams targeting seniors. They will be discussing why seniors are targeted, red flags to look for, different kinds of scams, how to report scams, and more.

Preserve Your Family Story: Cemetery Edition

Meet at the Library to go over the essentials of preserving records from headstones, and then practice headstone rubbing at Eastview Cemetery. 

Spooky Tree Paintings
