Tales in the Garden: Patriotic Puppies on Parade
Thursday, July 6 at 6 pm
Main Library in Newton

Join us for this fun-filled family event. We will listen to bilingual stories, make patriotic crafts, and parade around the library garden with puppies from the Humane Society of Catawba County! Families are encouraged to wear red, white & blue.

Kindness Shrinky Dinks

Animal Shelter Supply Drive and DIY Blankets

Bring food, toys, gently used blankets, and beds to donate to our animal shelter for cats & dogs, and create a no-sew felt blanket to donate.

Teen Advisory Board Meeting

Stretch for Health-Meditate for Mindfulness

Combining stretching with meditation may benefit both your emotional well-being and your overall health. You can do these exercises while sitting in a chair or bring a mat/towel for floor routines. While this class is geared to 50+, adults of all ages are invited to join. 

Gentle Flow Yoga

A certified yoga instructor will lead us through a beginner-friendly, gentle flow yoga class. You are encouraged to bring a yoga mat or towel as well as a small blanket. 

The Summer Station Book Club

All are welcome to join as we discuss This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub. Come for coffee and great conversation! We will also do a book-share at the end with other recommended reads.

Creative Outlet – Wine Cork Project

We’re getting out our hot glue guns to create an easy, useful cork board using leftover wine corks.  All materials provided, though you’re welcome to bring any wine corks you have saved up. To register, please visit the library or call 828-465-8665.
