Bilingual Live Preschool Storytime via Zoom
Wednesdays December 22 at 10 am

Holiday Tales and Jingle Bells Interactive Display

Everyone is welcome to express your creativity throughout the month by visiting our Holiday Tales and Jingle Bells interactive display table. Each week there will be a different activity designed to spark your imaginations and originality!

Teen New Year’s Eve Eve Party
Thursday, December 30 at 3:30 pm
Southwest Branch Library

Come count down to the new year on New Year’s Eve Eve!! Teens will enjoy games, festive snacks, and crafts to ring in 2022. Formal attire encouraged! To register, visit the library or call 828-466-6818. 

REMINDER * Black History Discussion Group
The Black History Discussion Group is taking a break for December but will meet again Wednesday, January 19 at 4 pm at the Hickory Museum of Art. The group will discuss quilts and textile arts in African American history and visit the “The Improvisational Quilts of Susana Allen Hunter” exhibit.

All Catawba County Library System branches (Newton, Claremont, Conover, Maiden, Sherrills Ford-Terrell, Southwest and St. Stephens) will be closed from Thursday, December 23 through Monday, December 27, and Friday, December 31 through Saturday, January 1. 

*Special note: The St. Stephens Branch Library will also be closed Wednesday,  December 22, 2021 for maintenance and improvements.
