Catawba County Board of Commissioners Adjusts Schedule for Budget Adoption

The Catawba County Board of Commissioners has adjusted the anticipated timeline for adoption of the County’s FY 2026-27 budget. Originally planned for consideration on June 1,  both Catawba County’s FY2026-27 Budget and the Southeastern Catawba County Water & Sewer District FY2026-27 Budget will now be considered for approval during the Board’s regular meetings on Monday, June 15, which begin at 6:50 p.m. The meetings are open to the public and will be held in the Board of Commissioners Meeting Room at the Catawba County Justice Center, 100 Government Center Drive, Newton, NC 28658.

A Special Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners will be held on Monday, June 8, immediately following Board Subcommittee meetings at 8:30 a.m. in the Catawba County Government Center at 25 Government Center Drive in Newton. During this meeting, Commissioners will consider modifications to the FY2026-27 Manager’s Recommended Budget delivered to the Board in May.
