The November 17, 2025 Board of Commissioners meeting was called to order at 7pm. The agenda for tonight’s meeting can be found at https://bit.ly/3utv5SE.
BOC approved minutes from the Board’s Regular Meeting of November 3, 2025.
Presentations
1 – Board Delegate Cliff Moone presented a North Carolina Senior Tar Heel Legislature update.
2 – The Commissioners presented a proclamation honoring retiring Emergency Services Director Bryan Blanton.
Public Hearing
Public Hearing to consider an application by The Building Company US LLC to rezone 15.12 acres of a 105.87-acre parcel (Parcel Identification Number 3687-0303-4617) owned by Cushman Properties LLC from R-40 Residential to Highway Commercial (HC). The BOC did not approve the application.
Consent Agenda
1 - The Policy and Public Works Subcommittee requests the Board of Commissioners authorize the County Manager to approve Change Order #1 for the Blackburn MSW Unit 4 Advance Site Work and Utility Relocate Project and approve a budget revision in the amount of $277,923.
2 - The Policy and Public Works Subcommittee requests the Board of Commissioners:
a. Adopt a resolution establishing project total cost, setting the Preliminary Assessment Roll, and scheduling a Public Hearing on the Preliminary Assessment Roll for Langdon Ridge Subdivision Road Improvement Project; and
b. Authorize the Chair to petition the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to accept Langdon Road in Langdon Ridge subdivision into NCDOT’s Secondary Road Maintenance Program.
3 – The Policy and Public Works Subcommittee requests the Board of Commissioners approve an easement termination, a revised temporary pipeline easement, and a temporary easement for a propane tank between Catawba County and Terreva CATAWBA RNG, LLC.
4 – The Tax Administrator requests the Board of Commissioners approve 58 releases totaling $118,922.35, four refunds totaling $593.12, and 83 Motor Vehicles Bill adjustments / refunds totaling $8,872.37 requested during the month of October.
BOC approved all 4 agenda items.
BOC adjourned the meeting at 8:10 pm and entered closed session. No further action was anticipated.
