Alzheimer's & Dementia
Published: February 12, 2020
If you’ve caught glimpses of what might be a brief mental lapse in yourself or a loved one or even had worries about overall decline, you know how troubling those experiences are. It can be especially difficult to determine whether what you’ve seen is an isolated incident, a possible byproduct of aging, or something else.
To help local residents learn and understand more about dementia, the library is hosting a special program presented by the Alzheimer’s Association. The educational session will cover the basics of dementia in general and provide an overview for people who are facing a diagnosis, as well as those who wish to be better informed.
Leading the program and helping explain the available resources will be Elizabeth Novak, MPH, CHES, program manager for the Western Carolina Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
To attend the session, please join us at the Conover Branch Library on Friday, February 21 at 2 pm.
