Learning to Lead (L2L)

Learning to Lead (L2L)

This program for team leaders, front-line supervisors and aspiring leaders is designed to help employees learn about effective leadership principles and how to apply these skills in the workplace.  A DISC behavioral assessment is completed at the beginning of the curriculum to gain understanding of self and learn ways to effectively relate to other personality styles.  Additional course content includes instruction on County policies and HR laws, proper interviewing techniques, performance management tools and importance of respect and appreciation of diversity throughout the workplace.  Participants also have opportunities during the program to interact with County management staff and directors.  L2L schedule includes 60 hours of classroom instruction over a period of 8 months through a combination of full and half-day classes.  Successful graduates are recognized with certificates and luncheon at the end of the program.
