Whatcha Lookin' At?

In early March, a new mural began to take shape in Downtown Newton’s Yount Park… which reminded us of the many amazing murals that have been popping up all over Catawba County. The new mural in Newton, which was commissioned by the Newton Public Art Commissionand brought to life by internationally-renowned muralist and painter Osiris Rain, resembles the artistic style of a barn quilt whose patchwork of shapes and images evoke nature and nods to the history of the region.
