This hour-long documentary connects adverse childhood experiences to the health of our children and community with potentially life-long consequences. Attendees will participate in a survey and discussion of what our culture is facing and how best to treat families dealing with “toxic stress.” In partnership with NCWorks, Catawba County Partnership for Children, and Catawba County Schools. Meets on the 2nd floor of Conover Station below the Conover Branch Library. Part of CVCC's community read of Sam Quinones' book Dreamland: The True Tale of America's Opiate Epidemic.
