Briefly describe your job. What do you do?
I coordinate our frozen meals program, coordinate commodities and pet food services, provide assistance to the Seniors Morning Out Sites, coordinate our farmers market vouchers program, provide assistance in scheduling volunteers and provide assistance answering office phones.
What is a typical workday like for you?
No day is the same - I have lots of variety in my position: calling volunteers to find substitutes when someone cancels, picking up commodities to transport them to a Seniors Morning Out program, conducting annual re-assessments for seniors in our frozen meals program, bagging frozen meals for volunteers to pick up, or placing orders for frozen meals.
What is your favorite aspect of your job – what do you enjoy doing most?
I love working with our volunteers and knowing that we are helping our senior community.
What is the County core value you believe most relates to the work you do, and why?
Doing it Together. Working with the staff at Senior Nutrition Services and our volunteers is how we are able to successfully serve more than 455 seniors each operating day.
What do you like best about working for Catawba County?
Being able to serve our community.

Oregon.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Hiking.

The Amazing Race.
Favorite sports team(s)?
Oregon Ducks and the San Francisco 49ers.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
The ability to fly --- so much quicker to visit family.
