About Your Work
Briefly describe what you do in your role.
My main responsibilities are to prioritize tasks and assign them to the Maintenance personnel, support the Garage staff and make sure they have everything they need to keep our fleet on the road.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The people I work with, it’s satisfying to work together for a common goal.
What is one project, accomplishment, or contribution you are proud of?
Whenever it snows to watch how everyone prepares and then attacks the job working together doing our best to make it safe to open County Facilities, its hard work and long hours for all of the staff. The Garage staff being nominated for a team award made me proud that other County employees noticed there work and thought they should be recognized.
What is something people may not know about the work you or your team does?
We maintain a Fleet of almost 500 vehicles and over 80 buildings. We also have a staff person whose main role is to make and install the street signs throughout the County.
What skills or qualities help you succeed in your role?
Flexibility and patience.

What does public service mean to you?
It means you give of yourself to help others.
How does your work help serve County employees, residents, departments, or the community?
We support county employees by providing a safe and comfortable place for them to do their job serving the citizens. The garage maintains the fleet including emergency units that everyone relies on.
Is there a memorable moment from your time with the County that stands out?
Watching some of my co-workers reach retirement and that their years of public service had paid off for them.
What is something you are passionate about?
My family.
Recognition and Reflection
Who has influenced or supported you in your career?
My wife has always been my biggest supporter and been understanding with late night call outs and working during holidays, there’s also many co-workers in the facilities department that support me daily and I couldn’t imagine being here without them.
What advice would you give to someone new to the County or your department?
Work hard and learn new skills that make yourself valuable to the organization, every work request is a new opportunity to learn something new.
