Briefly describe your job. What do you do?
Provide support for the Managers and office staff, management of schedules, pcards and timesheets, finances and contracts. I also assist Legal with letters and am now shadowing Dale with the Board of Commissioners.
What is a typical workday like for you?
No 2 days are alike! On a regular basis, I’m fielding citizen calls and walk ins, communicating with managers and department heads and helping with their needs.
What is the County core value you believe most relates to the work you do, and why?
The value I see day in and day out is “doing it well”. We show up everyday with smiles on our faces and with a positive attitude. We lift each other up but still hold ourselves accountable by having weekly/monthly check ins within our staff and department heads. If a problem arises, we work towards solutions. Our staff is committed to serving our citizens and doing it well.
What do you like best about working for Catawba County?
My team is the best! We genuinely enjoy working for Catawba County and we care about and support each other.

Maiden
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love football, knitting, and reading.

I love to travel, so I’d have to go with teleportation.
