Catawba County Parks features three parks which protect the County’s and offer passive recreation opportunities such as hiking, running, picnicking, wildlife viewing in a natural habitat. Each of these parks has a distinctive “personality.”
- Riverbend Park is located in the northern part of the County along Hwy. 16. This 450-acre park provides a fresh water wetlands, upland forest, and hiking along the Catawba River.
- Bakers Mountain Park is located in the southwestern part of the County. This 189-acre park is on a mountain, offering views of the Catawba Valley, and vegetation natural to the higher elevations.
- St. Stephens Park is located adjacent to the City of Hickory, in the northwest part of the County. This 9-acre park provides a natural respite within an urban area.
