Friends of the Library

We really value our Friends. The Friends would love to have you join. The Friends of the Catawba County Library volunteer together to support and share our enthusiasm for the library. They sponsor library programming and vibrant summer reading programs.

They act as ambassadors for literacy and the library, participate in programming and events, and raise funds through membership drives, book sales, and other special projects. They provide community outreach and promote the library every chance they get.

Membership in the Friends gives you the opportunity to volunteer and work with other dedicated advocates who share your enthusiasm for the library and all that it has to offer.

We raise funds to support summer learning programming, the library endowment fund, and other special projects. We advocate for public libraries in our community.

We meet quarterly at the Main Library in Newton. Our upcoming meetings are October 13th, January 12th, March 9th, and June 8th. Our meetings start at 11 am.
We would live to see you there!
