DIRECTIONS TO THE PERMIT CENTER
ON FIRST FLOOR OF CATAWBA COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER

From I-40:
Take I-40 to Exit 128 (Fairgrove Church Road) Travel south on Fairgrove Church Road until you come to Highway 70 (the intersection of two four lane roads, Bennett's BBQ is on your left). Turn left. Travel east until you come to Highway 321 Business (a T-intersection of two four-lane roads, Bo-jangles on your right). Turn right. At the fifth stop light (CVS Pharmacy on right) turn right onto Radio Station Road and turn left into the Government Center parking lot. If you miss the Radio Station Road turn, you may proceed a little farther on 321 and make the next right hand turn into the Government Center/Justice Center complex and turn right into the parking lot. The Permit Center is on the first floor of the Government Center building, which is the one closest to 321/Radio Station Road intersection.

From Highway 70:
Take Highway 70 until you come to Highway 321 Business (a T-intersection of two four-lane roads, Bojangles is on corner). Turn om 321 Business S (NW Blvd). At the fifth stop light (CVS Pharmacy on right) turn right onto Radio Station Road and turn left into the Government Center parking lot. If you miss the Radio Station Road turn, you may proceed a little farther on 321 and make the next right hand turn into the Government Center/Justice Center complex and turn right into the parking lot. The Permit Center is on the first floor of the Government Center building, which is the one closest to 321/Radio Station Road intersection.

From Highway 16 South:
Stay on Highway 16 into the City of Newton, but be sure to stay straight on Highway 10, which pairs with 16 east of Newton. Highway 10 will take you to a stoplight with a small shopping center on your right and a Speed Lube and Burger King on your left. Turn right at the stoplight. The Government Center/Justice Center complex will be the first turn on your left (big flag poles). The Permit Center is on the first floor of the Government Center building.

From the new Highway 321:
Travel on new Highway 321 until you reach the Highway 10 interchange. Exit and turn East onto Highway 10. Approximately 4.5 miles later you will reach the intersection of Highway 321 Business, with a convenience store on your right, a Prime Sirloin restaurant on your left and a Speed Lube and Burger King in front and to the right. Turn left at the stoplight. The Government Center/Justice Center campus will be the first turn on your left (big flag poles).The Permit Center is on the first floor of the Government Center building.

From I-40:
Take I-40 to Exit 125 (Lenoir Rhyne Blvd Exit) if you are I-40 East bound turn Left on Lenoir Rhyne Blvd, if you are I-40 West bound turn Right on Lenoir Rhyne Blvd. Follow to LR Blvd to Tate Blvd which will be your third stop light if you came from I-40 W, forth stop light if you came from I-40 E. Turn Left on Tate which becomes 1 st Ave SE. Turn Right at second stop light onto Center Street. Cross railroad tracks and Hickory City Hall will be the first building on your right. The Permit Center is located at the back of the building on the ground floor.

From Highway 70:

Take Hwy 70 to S Center St, there will be a McDonald’s at the corner. Follow S Center St till you cross over railroad tracks. Hickory City Hall will be the first building on your right. The Permit Center is located at the back of the building on the ground floor.

From Highway 321:

From Hwy 321 turn on 2 nd Ave NW between Ham’s and McDonald’s on the corner. Follow 2 nd Ave NW to N Center St and turn Right. Pass through one stop light and Hickory City Hall will be the large building on your left before crossing the railroad tracks. The Permit Center is located at the back of the building on the ground floor.
