Instructions for Using Online Permit Center This web site allows you to look up permit information and view or print reports. Permit Status Search You can search for a particular permit by entering any one or combination of the following: permit number, project number, address, parcel number, owner or contractor. Once you have entered the search criteria, click on the Search button and the permit information will appear on the next web page. By Permit Number If you know the permit number you're looking for, you can type the number in the appropriate box and click the "search" button. Note:To look up a group of specific permits, just enter the letters of the permit type you're trying to find. For example, If you're looking for all zoning permits from 2000, enter "ZON2000." And the same for other years and other permit types. Then click "search”. To get more information on the various permit type definitions, click here. By Address If you don't know the permit number that you're looking for, you can also look up information by entering the address for a specific property in the appropriate boxes. Click the "search" button. Note: There may be more than one way that an address is listed in the database. So if you're searching on an address that returns no information, but you're sure there are permits for it, try entering less information (rather than the full address). For example, if you are finding no results for 1100 OAK CREEK DR try entering 1100 OAK instead. You will come up with more addresses to choose from. Try a couple of different ways of searching for an address to get the results you want. You may also search by parcel number, project number, owner or contractor in the same manner. Results Once you click the "search" button, you will either get the specific permit you're looking for, or a list of permits to choose from on the next screen. These permits are returned in permit number order. You will be a given a brief synopsis of the permit on this screen: the permit number, address and owner of the property, a brief description of what the permit is for and the permit status. If you would like further information on any of the permits listed on that page, please click on the permit number (which will be bold, and underlined) and it will bring back more detailed information on the permit you've chosen. Note: Near the top of that page it will also tell you how many permits were returned with your search, and how many pages there are to look through. To move to the other pages, click on the "prev" or "next" buttons. Detailed Results on a Specific Case After you click on the specific permit that you want to view, you will get a more detailed list of information on that permit. It will again include the address and owner of the property, application date, a brief description of the permit and the permit status. In addition, you will see all of the activities, conditions and fees associated with each permit. Note: What you see will vary for each individual permit, because some permits will have many of these activites, etc. and others might not have any.
