Medical First Response
Because of our ability to respond so quickly, we play a vital role in the County Emergency Medical Response System. Our Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) Respond to all nature of medical calls and assist Advance Life Support Personnel in patient treatment and stabilization for transport to medical facilities. |
Vehicle Extrication
Vehicle Extrications are Rescue Operations dealing with victims entrapped in vehicles involved in accidents. These vehicles could include all types of vehicles, from small compact cars to large semi-trailer trucks.

Dive Rescue
Some of our Squads are trained in Dive Rescue Operations. These highly trained rescuers conduct search and rescue operations involving large bodies of water such as lakes and ponds.

Swift Water Rescue
Squads trained in Swift Water Rescue Operations conduct rescue operations when victims are exposed to rapidly flowing water emergencies such as rivers, streams and flood situations.

High Angle Rescue
These Rescue Operations involve situations where victims require rescue from vertical locations such as mountainsides, cliffs, high-rise buildings and valleys.

Confined Space Rescue
These Rescue Operations involve rescue from small constricted locations such as wells, caves and underground waterways.

Structural Collapse Rescue
These Highly Technical Rescue Operations involve rescuing victims from buildings that have collapsed for various reasons such as earthquake, explosion and structural instability.

Trench Rescue
These Rescue Operations include cave-in situations and involve such things as shoring, sheeting, support system construction and monitoring. |
Urban Search and Rescue
Specialized Technical Rescue Task Force that uses the expertise of all County resources.
All Rescue disciplines too include Animal Rescue,
Rescue, Fire, Law Enforcement, EMS and Emergency Management involved.
