The Catawba County Board of Commissioners' next meeting is set for 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2008 at the 1924 Courthouse, 30 North College Avenue in Newton, NC.
The Catawba County Board of Commissioners will receive an informational report from the Economic Development Corporation on Industrial Development Fund Infrastructure funding and recruitment of data centers to North Carolina and observe as re-elected County Commissioners Barbara Beatty and Dan Hunsucker, and Register of Deeds Donna Spencer take the Oaths of Office for new four-year terms, when the Board meets at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2008, at the 1924 Courthouse at 30 North College Avenue in Newton.
The Board will also hold its annual organizational meeting to select a chairperson and vice-chairperson for the coming year and appoint commissioners to serve on Board subcommittees, consider tax refund requests, and present the County’s Budget staff with a 2008 Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association.
