Catawba County invites public to share July 4th photos.
The County recently began using Flickr, an online photo management and sharing application. Photos will be placed on the County's website. Catawba County, at its sole discretion, has the right to determine which photos submitted are appropriate for publication. Full story |
Catawba County Department of Emergency Services to bolster
fire prevention efforts through grant.
The Catawba County Department of Emergency Services' Fire and Rescue Division recently received a $1000 fire prevention grant from FM Global, a property insurer of the world’s largest businesses based in Johnston, Rhode Island. The award will be used to help fire investigators more efficiently investigate and determine the cause of a fire. Full story

Catawba County Animal Services to continue rabies vaccination clinics on July 11.
The next clinic will be held at the Hickory American Legion Fairgrounds on Highway 70 east of Hickory. Animal Services is also providing one year rabies vaccinations to pet owners year round, by appointment. Full story |
