Description: Catawba County Public Health is currently recruiting for a highly motivated team player to fill a Home Health Nurse position in a manner that contributes to the provision of excellent services in a customer oriented work setting. Full-time Home Health Nurse position available - applicant must be skilled in caring for multi-systemic conditions including high tech procedures, and be able to function independently in the home setting. Previous case management skills and OASIS documentation skills required. Scheduled to be off on weekends and holidays and will work 8-hour days. REQUIRES: Graduation from a four year college or university with a BS Degree in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and one year of Public Health Nursing experience; or graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and two years of professional nursing experience including one year in public health; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years of experience in an intensive care or ER setting can be substituted for one year of Public Health/Home Health experience. Valid Driver�s License is required. Family NET, a part of Catawba County Social Services, is recruiting for a Master�s level clinician who will provide mental health and substance abuse assessment and treatment services in-home as part of our CPS investigations unit. Therapist will be imbedded in a Child Protective Service Team and will work in collaboration with a Community Support Q, para-professionals, Family NET staff, community providers, the court system, and the CPS worker to assist parents in receiving state of the art assessment, and treatment that will begin in the home as quickly as the family is identified. In addition, therapist will be responsible for coordinating the initial assessment, developing a treatment plan, advising the CPS Investigations team regarding treatment needs of children and parents, referring to Community Support Services and ensuring that the consumer has not only been referred, but has begun to participate in treatment. The CPS therapist will be able to work independently, make decisions, have knowledge of community resources and be able to role model good parenting skills and strong family values. This position will lay the groundwork for an innovative new method of providing services that will help parents receive treatment more quickly, keep families together and decrease the number of days children are in care in Catawba County. This is an opportunity to work outside an office and to truly make changes in the lives of families in Catawba County. REQUIRES: Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or marriage and family therapy and two to three years of post-graduate counseling experience. Must be licensed or eligible for NC Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Psychological Associate, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist upon date of hire. Applicants need to be highly skilled in assessment as well as have the ability to quickly develop rapport with consumers and their families. Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with community providers, as well as other team members and the court, are vital skills needed. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team in schools. The candidate chosen will provide direct, high quality nursing services in assigned schools in Catawba County. The ideal candidate will be skilled in public relations and interpersonal relationships in order to work with other team members, health professionals, school officials and community groups. REQUIRES: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. Degree in Nursing, which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation, and one year of Public Health Nursing experience, or graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and two years of professional nursing experience, including one year of Public Health Nursing experience, with a commitment to obtain BSN degree. Two years of Pediatric or Critical Care nursing experience can be substituted for one year of Public Health experience. Description: Catawba County Social Services is recruiting a Clinical Program Manager to provide clinical and administrative oversight of the services provided to parents of minor children aimed to strengthen parents and families with minor children who have significant mental, emotional or behavioral problems. Duties include administrative supervision of mental health, and women�s substance abuse and other services for adults integrated with child welfare, to include work first substance abuse assessments and out-patient therapy; clinical supervision of direct care staff dealing with parents of children with special needs; provision of assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and implementation of treatment to a small case load, including initial development and monitoring of the Person Centered Plan for individuals who need enhanced benefits service and case consultations within the agency and the community.
