The Catawba County Health Department has received a grant from the Suan G. Komen Foundation, Inc. The foundation's mission is to eliminate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by advancing research, education, screening and treatment.

Funds assist in diagnosing and evaluating abnormal breast findings.

These funds will pay for the following:

1. Diagnostic mammogram
2. Breast ultrasound
3. Cone compression
4. Surgical evaluation
5. Breast biopsy (Fine needle aspiration, excisional biopsy, stereotactic biopsy)
6. Pathology

A limit of $1,500.00 is budgeted per patient. For any cost over $1,500.00, you will be responsible for payment.
