LEAD PROGRAM

 In
Catawba County, only 23% of the target
population has been screened for blood
lead level. To ensure that more children
are screened at the appropriate age,
the Environmental Health Division of
the Catawba County Public Health Department
is encouraging parents to obtain a blood
lead level test for their children between
1 and 2 years of age. The department
will be accomplishing this task through
education, free lead screening kits,
and consultation.
