Catawba County Public Health will be offering seasonal flu vaccine for children in grades K-12 on Saturday, November 21st from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm. The vaccination clinics will be held at Bandy’s High School Cafeteria and at the St. Stephens High School Cafeteria while supplies last. No appointment is necessary. The H1N1 vaccine will be offered if available. Both vaccines will be provided free of charge.
Catawba County Public Health and their partners of over 40 local medical providers and pharmacies are offering the H1N1 vaccine to all target groups. Residents are encouraged to call their local medical provider and pharmacy for information related to vaccine availability.
Catawba County Public Health is currently accepting appointments for H1N1 nasal spray vaccine for children ages 2 through 24, anyone who lives with or cares for children less than 6 months of age as well as healthcare personnel age 49 and under. Preservative free injectable H1N1 vaccine is available only to children 6 to 35 months of age. Both H1N1 vaccines will be provided free of charge.

Seasonal flu vaccine is also available free of charge to children ages 6 months to 18 years of age by appointment. To schedule an appointment you may do so by calling Public Health at 695-5800.
