Catawba County Public Health provides a variety of vaccines that may be recommended or required for foreign travel. Vaccinations must be given at least two weeks prior to travel in order to be considered effective.
Please note that if you are on chemotherapy or have an underlying condition, you should talk with your doctor prior to receiving any travel immunizations. If you are 65 or older and require yellow fever vaccine, you will need to obtain written consent from your primary medical doctor before receiving this vaccine.
There are rolling shortages of yellow fever vaccine. Please confirm that we have the vaccine in stock before scheduling your appointment.
To learn more, visit www.mdtravelhealth.com and www.cdc.gov/travel/ for a list of recommended or required vaccinations for various foreign travel destinations.
There is a fee per vaccination. Please see the Immunizations fee schedule here for more information.
