What is the K.I.N. Fund's story? She’s the child who lacks health insurance, is not eligible for Medicaid or NC Health Choice. He’s the child who often needs dental or vision care or is sick and needs medication but does not get it due to lack of money.The Kids In Need Fund (K.I.N Fund) was established by the School Health Team of Catawba County Public Health to help meet the healthcare needs of school children who fit the fund’s eligibility guidelines. How are school nurses involved? Catawba County Public Health’s School Health Team is comprised of registered nurses who are specially trained in school health nursing. They serve in all three Catawba County school systems, from elementary to high schools, and provide health-related services to students that enable them to improve their potential for learning.
