Thanks to everyone who was able to attend the Public Input Forums. We received valuable information and public participation in the preliminary design process. One-hundred four people attended the Public Input Forums held October 19, 2016 at Sherrills Ford Elementary School, and October 25, 2016 at the Catawba County Government Center. Attendees were shown a presentation on the environmental features, easement constraints, and potential opportunities the park could offer. Everyone had an opportunity to participate in creative activities to identify the recreational needs of the community. The meeting was facilitated by Gary Wirth of Wirth and Associates, the firm hired to do the park master plan and design. If you were unable to attend one of these meetings, it is not too late to give your input.
