Yoga for Healthy Chakras

If you’re like many people, you made a resolution to get healthier in 2019, either by exercising more, eating better, or both. Since building new habits and keeping those commitments to yourself can be tricky, the Library is hosting a session about how to honor your goal for more self-care.

Instructors from Breathe Yoga and Wellness in Morganton will share insights about how the practice of yoga supports balance, wellness, and healthy chakras. The language may be a bit unfamiliar, but the idea that the body has energy centers that can affect the ways we feel and function is something we intuitively understand. This session will discuss the ways that these centers impact us physically, mentally, and emotionally and talk about how they create a bridge between body and mind.

If you’d like to explore this approach to health and well-being, you’re welcome to come with questions and thoughts. You can participate to see what the practice entails and consider how it might feed your own needs. And if it supports a path to more activity and an extra measure of calmness, what a great way to usher in 2019!

This yoga class meets at 10 am on Saturday, January 26 at the Main Library in Newton.
