Let's Swap Houseplants!
Published: March 27, 2019
In both home and work environments, houseplants improve air quality, diminish background noise, and reduce stress by creating a sense of well-being. Plus, they add life and natural beauty to manmade surroundings.
If you’d like to boost your indoor spaces with plants, join us at the library as we explore the benefits of houseplants. Anelle Ammons from the Cooperative Extension will talk about how to choose and care for houseplants to help them thrive in interior conditions with lower light and humidity.
Participants are also encouraged to bring pest-free houseplants for trade, either potted or bare root. If you’re just getting started and don’t have any plants to trade, you’re also welcome to join in!
Whether you opt for pothos to help purify the air, Boston fern for increased moisture, or a peace lily to help remove mold from areas with dampness, you can be sure that the addition of houseplants to your home will offer perks for both your physical health and your emotional outlook!
The seminar takes place at 11 am on Saturday, April 6 at the Conover Branch Library.
