Any resident
of North Carolina may apply for a free Catawba County Library card in-person
at any Catawba County Library branch. Proof of identification and NC
residency is required for you to receive the card on the day of your
visit. A North Carolina driver's license or state ID is the preferred
source of identification. If you do not yet have proof of your current
address, the card will be mailed to you as a means of verifying your
address. Or sign up for a card online!
Parents
may apply for cards for their minor children and are responsible for
the materials checked out on their own and their children's cards.
At the
time you apply for your card, you may also choose to sign the library's
Internet
Acceptable Use Agreement for yourself and any minor children.
This agreement must be signed for each person wishing to use or view
a public Internet computer. You will need to bring your card with
you each time you visit the library if you want to use an Internet computer.
Should
your card be lost or stolen, please notify us at once either by phone
or in-person. We will put a "stop" on your account so
that no one may misuse your card. There is a $1.00 charge to replace
a library card.
