OXFORD CONVENIENCE CENTER CLOSING TEMPORARILY
FOR MAINTENANCE WORK AND UPGRADES

| The Oxford Convenience Center, located at 4637 Lookout Dam Road, will temporarily close beginning on Thursday, April 26, 2007 to allow for necessary maintenance work and upgrades at the site. The center is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, May 16, 2007.
"All other convenience centers will continue to operate on normal schedules," said Jack Chandler, Public Services Administrator for the Catawba County Department of Utilities and Engineering. "The Oxford Convenience Center site is in need of grading and pavement improvements in order to alleviate existing drainage problems on the site and facilitate the operations of the center."
The County’s other four convenience centers are located at: 3864 Rocky Ford Road near the Blackburn Landfill; 2436 Bethany Church Road in the Balls Creek Community; 8876 Sherrills Ford Road in the Sherrills Ford/Terrell Community; and 3659 Rhoney Farm Road in the Cooksville Community. The Blackburn Center is open from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Saturday. The Cooksville Center is open from 8 a.m. 6 p.m., Friday & Saturday. The Newton center is open from 10 a.m. 6 p.m., Tuesday Saturday. The Sherrills Ford center is open from 10 a.m.-
6 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday.
