CATAWBA COUNTY EXTENSION DIRECTOR WINS STATE AWARD
Fred Miller, Catawba County Extension Director for North Carolina Cooperative Extension, has received an Extension Leadership Award. He was recognized recently at the 2007 State Extension Conference, held in Raleigh.
“The award Fred received is the highest leadership recognition in our organization”, said Dr. Deborah Crandall, Southwest District Director for the North Carolina Cooperative Extension. “It's given only to one employee annually who demonstrates significant leadership to the organization by county, district and national involvement and contribution.”
The award recognizes North Carolina Cooperative Extension employees who have demonstrated outstanding leadership within the organization. Award winners are selected from nominations made by fellow employees.
North Carolina Cooperative Extension, based in all 100 counties and on the Cherokee Reservation, is a partnership between N.C. State University and N.C. A&T State University to bring research-based knowledge to help citizens improve their lives.
