COMMITTEE WORKING TO CREATE A CATAWBA COUNTY “CHILDREN’S AGENDA”
SEEKS PUBLIC INPUT THROUGH SURVEY
A Children’s Agenda Committee, appointed by the Catawba County Board of Commissioners earlier this year, is seeking to create a strategic plan for improving the lives of children in Catawba County.
The Committee has gathered data related to children and created the 2009 Child Data Report, highlighting the current status of children in Catawba County.
The committee is also in the process of gathering community input to prioritize areas of concern for children and make suggestions for how we can address these concerns. Toward this end, the Committee has surveyed about 400 high school students and parents of preschoolers and held two Children’s Summit forums. But more input is needed!
An online survey is now available to provide parents, interested community members and child advocates the opportunity to share their thoughts. Please take a few minutes to consider the needs of children in this county and complete the survey!
