EQUIPMENT

Election Systems & Software (ES&S) is the only vendor whose voting equipment is approved by the State of North Carolina. The Catawba County Board Elections uses multiple types of voting equipment during elections.

If you choose to vote early at One-Stop Voting, you will use the iVotronic touch screen machine. This includes handicapped accessibility features. Curbside voting is available for disabled or elderly voters unable to enter the building; a paper ballot will be issued at curbside.

If you vote on Election Day, you will use a paper ballot and insert it into a DS200 Tabulator and Ballot Box. Curbside voting is available for disabled or elderly voters unable to enter the building.

If voting on Election Day and you have physical disabilities or other special needs, you may use the AutoMARK. This device allows you to mark your paper ballot privately and independently using a touch screen (or keypad and headphones for visually impaired).
