| Your interest is appreciated, and I trust you
will browse this page to seek the answer to your specific questions or concerns and to
simply obtain new knowledge. It is my hope that Catawba County citizens, as well as those
around the world, will become more knowledgable of people in need and how they are helped.
As you peruse this site, you will come to understand that Social Services attempts to
prevent social problems, maintain those unable to care for themselves, help the
able-bodied become employed, protect children and adults from abuse and neglect, help
children have permanent homes, and give the elderly and disabled a choice to remain in
their own homes.
Catawba County is indeed a splendid community in which to live, work, worship and rear
a family. The dynamic leadership from elected and appointed boards, professional
managements, and knowledgeable and dedicated staff contribute to an excellent community.
If you have questions of any part of this site or any other Social Services concerns,
please feel free to use the E-mail addresses on this site.
