Family NET's Medication Philosophy

Dr. Rigardy Munoz, Medical Director

Dr. Rigardy Munoz has been Family NET’s Medical Director since December 2009 and has been providing psychiatric services to Family NET consumers since Family NET began in 2004. Dr. Munoz has provided psychiatric support and services to Catawba County citizens for over 13 years and consults with other area physicians with regard to children and adolescent mental health services.

Dr. Munoz is a board certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. He received his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas located in Manila, Philippines. He performed his residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia where he was chief resident in general psychiatry and chief fellow in the area of child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Munoz has over 13 years of experience with children and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Munoz has served as the Psychiatric Chief at Frye Regional Medical Center and President of the Catawba County Medical Society. He is also a member of the American Psychiatric Association, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, N.C. Medical Society, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Munoz resides in Hickory with his wife, Sharon, and his two daughters, Samantha and Shannon.
