    Day Treatment for Children

The "Assisting Children Together" Program (ACT) is a day treatment program operated by Family NET in conjunction with the three public school systems in Catawba County that serves children in kindergarten through fifth grade. ACT provides a relatively short-term therapeutic experience for children with emotional and behavioral problems that interfere with their ability to have a successful experience in the public schools. ACT provides services for students whose disruptive behavior at school and at home places them “at risk” for school-related failures. The goal of the ACT Program is to help the student make positive changes in order to enable a return to public school.

    Day Treatment for Adolescents

Family NET operates two sites that provide day treatment services for adolescents. Catawba Rosenwald Education Center is located in the town of Catawba while the other program is located at the Hickory Career and Arts Magnet School located in Hickory. Both programs address behavioral issues that prohibit success in a traditional school setting and utilize evidence based practices to improve consumer outcomes.
