NOTICE
Catawba County would like you to know that safety in the workplace is everyone’s responsibility. The N.C. Department of Labor enforces the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) through a state plan approved by the U.S. Department of Labor. This plan requires Catawba County to be aware of workplace hazards, and take the appropriate action to minimize or eliminate exposure to these hazards.

Catawba County Building Service Officials have completed safety training to help them recognize job related safety and health hazards associated with both residential and commercial construction sites.

In order to eliminate exposure to unsafe conditions, we are requesting your cooperation in providing safe means to access job sites. As the contractor, you have direct control over the condition of your job site and your assistance is necessary to expedite the inspection process.

To avoid delays in the construction process and ensure that a building inspector can access the site and perform the requested inspection the following O.S.H.A standards must be addressed at every job site. These guidelines are designed to protect all individuals at the job site.
