The Uniform Patrol Division is the main element or the backbone of the Law Enforcement efforts of the Catawba County Sheriff's Office. This division provides twenty-four hour law enforcement patrol of the county, including residential areas and businesses. Patrol deputies respond to calls for service, complete written reports, serve arrest warrants and conduct property checks.

Thirty-four officers are assigned to road patrol. These deputies cover the 405 square miles in Catawba County and respond to a variety of calls, from neighbor disputes to murders, rapes and robberies.
