CIVIL PROCESS DIVISION
These duties include serving all civil papers directed to the Sheriff for service; receiving and accounting for all monies and fees collected as a result of civil actions. Serving these papers involve many things such as divorces, domestic violence orders, child custody, taking property and returning it to the rightful owners, selling property to satisfy judgements, restraining orders, arrest orders, and many other related matters. Seven deputies are assigned to the Civil Division In 2008, these deputies were responsible for the service of 17,800 civil papers.

subpoenaCivil Process papers can be mailed or hand delivered to the Catawba County Sheriff's Office at the Catawba County Justice Center, 100 S.W. Blvd, P.O. Box 385, Newton, North Carolina 28658.

Fees for Service of a Civil Process is $15.00 per paper served.
