The Community Alert System will use a database of telephone numbers for all landline subscribers to AT&T or Embarq. Recent surveys have shown that only about 60% of phone users in Catawba County are using landline phones, as many citizens are now choosing to use only cellular or internet based phones. Cellular and internet based phone numbers will not automatically be available to our system.
In order for you to receive telephone alerts regarding emergency situations, Catawba County Government needs to have your name, street address, and the telephone number of the phone(s) on which you wish to be contacted. We also need your e-mail address, if you choose that method, You may input a landline telephone if you wish, to insure it is in our system.
