	The Area 2 Soil and Water Conservation District's Twefth annual Northwest Envirothon Competition will be held Thursday, March 29, 2012 in Wilkesboro. This environmental educational event sponsors middle and high school teams competing in various fields of environmental concerns including Soils, Aquatics, Forestry, Wildlife, and Current Environmental Issues. Counties in the Area 2 Soil and Water Conservation Districts are shown at the top right. Top competitors from the 8 areas in North Carolina will advance to the NC State Envirothon to be held on April 20-21, 2012 at Cedarock Park.
