Meet the Staff
Karyn Yaussy is the Emergency Management Coordinator for Catawba County. She has day-to-day responsibility for the division and ensures the development of emergency plans, training and exercises, developing personnel and equipment resources, and relationship building with citizens, other departments and agencies within the county as well as state and federal emergency management agencies.
Jim Dickerson works as Emergency Management Specialist for Catawba County. He provides disaster preparedness education to civic groups, scout troops, schools and churches. In addition he manages special projects, acts as the Public Information Officer for Emergency Services during incidents in Catawba County, and provides logistical support.
Bryan Blanton is the Emergency Services Director for Catawba County and provides leadership and direction for department which includes Animal Services, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Fire/Rescue and Veterans Services divisions.
Shonda Hollis is the Emergency Services Administrative Assistant, assisting visitors to our offices, providing information, office management and billing.
